About Me

Hi! My name is Caroline Petterson (she/her). I’ve always been drawn to caregiving and after years of supporting families as a nanny and childcare provider, I found a calling in postpartum care. My journey to becoming a doula stems from a deep belief that everyone deserves nurturing support during their transition to parenthood.

I bring patience, empathy, and enthusiasm to every family I support. As a postpartum doula, I offer evidence-based care while honoring each family's unique needs and traditions. I was born and raised in Colorado, the ancestral homelands of many Indigenous peoples including the Ute, Cheyenne, and Arapaho tribes. I am of European descent, with the strongest personal connection to Italy and the Mediterranean.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree from UC Berkeley and my professional background is in environmental policy and nature-based solutions. This perspective enriches my work with new families - with a drive to create a better world for future generations, I understand that the care we provide in the earliest days ripples outward to strengthen our entire community

While I am early in my doula journey and haven't experienced parenthood personally, I am deeply committed to continuous learning. I approach each family's postpartum period as an opportunity for mutual growth.

I am currently pursuing certification as a Postpartum Doula through DONA International, one of the largest and most respected organizations for doulas. As a part of the certification process I have completed a 27-hour training workshop.

I have spent hundreds of hours caring for infants and supporting household tasks as a nanny (I have also worked with several families with older children). I am also certified in Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED (expires September, 2026). I can provide several positive references from families I have worked for as a nanny.
